Veganism transition check-in

 So I've been transitioning to veganism and it's still in progress but almost 100% there. I've also cut out refined sugar 100%, and mostly dairy and gluten. I did have a few slip ups but so far I think I have done quite well. In the few weeks since I've started this journey I have noticed that I have lost weight and I am not as bloated or stomach achey as usual. Maybe this will be a good permanent change. I've also noticed cutting out the refined sugar has also lessened the intensity and frequency of my headaches too. I used to get such intense headaches and migraines that I'd be bedridden and unable to move. Now it is just normal headaches. The dairy and gluten has always been something I've been cutting out for ever but do have in my diet from time to time because who can say no to a treat of ice cream or a cheese bun from time to time?!?! I have been keeping fish in my diet, as I love my fish and not sure if that is something I want to let go. Anyways, I...

Transitioning to Veganism

 So...I have decided to make a plunge into veganism. More for my health than anything. I have a stomach ache and bloating constantly. And I struggle with my weight and other health issues. I want to feel better and thought it is something to try. A bit extreme maybe, but it fits with what I think I need. I can always go back and adjust right?  I already do not eat a lot of meat. Mainly because it is so expensive I keep my portions small and maybe have only once or twice a day, if at all. I already eat beans, legumes and other sources of protein so it is not going to be a harsh transition. My vegetable intake is usually quite massive, I try to eat at least half my plate vegetables...sometimes all I eat is vegetables. Not the most balanced, but I will get there. I have a lot of frozen vegetables and fruit that I utilize daily.
